A holiday in the Spanish region of Murcia will give you an insight into one of south-east Spain’s best kept secrets. With over 3000 hours of sunshine, a wealth of things to do, places to visit and great food, a Murcian Holiday is certainly one to remember! Many holiday makers use La Manga Club as their Spanish accommodation to allow them to explore the area and all it has to offer.

Murcia borders the Mediterranean Sea making it a Mecca for water sports. Its breathtaking 170 km coastline is part of the Costa Cálida meaning Warm Coast. A long, thin strip of land called La Manga which translates in English to “the sleeve” separates the Mediterranean sea from Europes biggest salt water lagoon - Mar Menor.

But also more inland the vast range of different cultures provides many historical and architectural areas just waiting to be discovered. If you decide to stay at La Manga, a resort club made up of hundreds of villas in the surrounding hills, you will have World Class Golf course, a fantastic spa, a range of swimming pools and kids areas to take advantage of.

La Manga and Murcia’s climate is typical for its location has a good average temperature throughout the year with maximums registered at 40C. Even the winters average a little over 10C. Rain is pretty sparse but mostly falls in spring and autumn.

Most Airlines fly to the Murcia region from all over Europe. There are two airports, Murcia and Alicante. Alicante is the larger of the two, but if you are holidaying in La Manga, chose Murcia as it is closer.
There are plenty of ways to get about the La Manga and Murcia once you are there, planes, taxis, Ferries, trains and buses are all available. Check with the local tourist information or your resort to find out what is easiest from your area.

La Manga and probably other resorts also offer a number of villas for sale, so should you like the area (and you will) there is always the opportunity to own you own little bit of La Manga!
