The Coleman Hudson Double sleeping bag has a boxed shipping weight of 3 Kg. This sleeping bag - made by Coleman - has a rectangular shape and is one of the most popular Coleman sellers. The reason for this is because it's one of the most comfortable bags on the market. Unlike most sleeping bags, the Coleman Hudson Double sleeping bag has more width. There is also flannel lining and an additional hood.

In many ways this bag is considered the top of the line when it comes to bed roll. Couples can feel comfortable in this bed roll when they go on camping trips, on caravans, or have guests but have no guest room. In addition, the Coleman Hudson Double sleeping bag features the Easy Sleep System - something you won't find in any bed roll other than a Coleman.

Recently completing our 10 year anniversary of the inaugural Death Trip a couple weeks ago, we started reminiscing about previous trips. A common theme of unfortunate mishaps have come to the forefront having to do with our food preparation and cooking skills (or lack there of). Being the oldest and the founder of the Death Trips, I am the primary chef on these trips with my #1 backup, Drew. Now, we are no slouches around the campfire when it comes to cooking, but when quantity takes precedence over quality, with up to 8 guys eating, we have had our share of “learning experiences”. Over the past 10 years, we have learned:

At one point, the only recreation camping opportunity on offer was tents or the open air. A century ago, you would have been privileged to own a canvas tent. Camping, as a vocational pastime, truly took off approximately fifty years ago. At that time hundreds of trucks were equipped with a camper shell; however, the sleeping space was still rather cramped.

Nowadays, there are a variety of choices available to build a home away from home.

Tents still remain extremely well-liked, and they continue to advance in design development. Internal framed tents are simply to pull together - you don’t need to do much more than simply snap them open). They are constructed from a durable nylon material and typically in the style of a dome, making them particularly strong. Alternatively, you have the external framed tents which still continue to be popular and have the benefit of being bigger, rectangular in shape (for optimum space) and extremely robust against wind.

Camping Gear Necessities

If it’s your first camping trip of the season or you are a first timer, you want to make sure that you have the necessary camping gear and equipment. Some equipment can be rather expensive, but you should be able to get the best from your purchase by being knowledgeable. Even though you can buy cheaper gear, typically cheap camping gear falls apart quicker and is less dependable, so that is not always the way to go.

Camping Gear And Your Budget

If you, like most people, have limited budgets, you will need to plan carefully before you go to shop for your camping gear.
You need to do some research on things like the climatic conditions of the places you intend on visiting.

The best and most memorable camping trips rely on great gear and reliable camping equipment.
Some pieces of outdoor camping equipment can be quite expensive, but they will last you a long time if you look after them properly. Whether you go camping once in blue moon or whether you want to be out in the open every chance you get, you do much better if you have the right camping gear. Common tent camping equipment includes :A tent, lean-to or other shelter device . A sleeping bag for warmth. .A sleeping pad or air mattress is often placed underneath the sleeping bag for cushioning from stones and twigs as well as for insulation from the ground. A portable stove to prepare hot meals and/or drinks where campfires are forbidden or impractical. A lantern or flashlight. A hatchet, axe or saw for cutting firewood (where allowed; see campfire) or constructing camp gadgets. Various types and sizes of ropes and tarps for stringing clotheslines, sheltering dining areas, and other purposes. Buy the best supplies that you can afford and then look after it.
Much of the remaining needed camping equipment is commonly available in the home, like dishes, pots and pans.
