In 2010, Mexico will kick off a huge celebration celebrating its 200 years of independence with national and local public events. The Bicentennial actually takes place in two different celebrations. One celebration will be the Bicentennial of the 200 years of independence since 1810, and the second celebration of 100 years (a “centennial”) since the Mexican Revolution of 1910. Mexico's Independence Day is a celebration of the events and the people that helped to gain independence from Spain, the country that had control over the territory of New Spain, as Mexico was known at that time. Driven by over three centuries of oppression and fueled by a call to revolt by the Catholic priest Hidalgo, the call to arms was made in the small village of Delores, in the state of Guanajuato. This eventually pushed both peoples and nations into a violent battle over the freedom of Mexico.

Everyone is looking for a way to travel but within the means of their budget and there are certainly many ways to do this. The first step is to create that budget and work at spending some time preplanning your trip. After that, the only thing required is for you to enjoy your time.
How does one preplan? Here are a few tips for you to take into consideration in regards to fitting your vacation into your budget.
1. Do Your Homework - If you have a particular destination in mind, plan ahead, do your homework in what it is you want to see and do. Your travel agent, given enough time, can help you identify what types of specials or discounts there may be. You can also look for other things to do or see near your destination so that you can make good use of your time and cut down on the running from place to place.
Miami, Florida is one of the most popular destinations for families and young travelers in search of pristine beaches, upscale designer shopping and a fabulously exotic nightlife. Beach-lovers flock to the city every year to visit, attend college, or enjoy a life filled with finer scenery and luxuries than many American cities are able to offer.
The most popular areas of Miami are South Beach and Biscayne Bay. However, several largely unknown districts in the city provide plenty of opportunity to explore and truly absorb the local culture, appreciate the historic influences on the city's development, and even discover more affordable living options than the glamorous high-rises lining the beaches.
If you are bringing young ones on your visit to San Francisco, you've probably wracked your brain trying to find activities and events that will not only be fun for them but also provide much needed mental stimuli as well. Well, look no further. I have five museums that are guaranteed to be completely kid friendly and fun for the entire family.
Gone are the days of stuffy museums that are cold and unfeeling. These museums of old have been replaced with modern day museums that offer areas that encourage hands on activities and promote learning and education through activities that are well disguised as fun. Your children will have no idea what just happened and you will be able to rest comfortable in the knowledge that this event that they considered so much fun will remain with them for a long time to come. Knowledge is a great gift to pass on to your children, especially when they don't realize what it is that you are giving them.

No one will ever forget where he or she was when first witnessing the image of two planes crashing into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Since that tragic day, and the beginning of this war, too many lives have been taken. David Bowie sings it clearly in his song “I'm Afraid of Americans,” saying that his fear cannot be helped, and in the mean time he will not pretend. Other than the distaste of glam rock stars of the 1970s and the French, are Americans safe to travel to foreign lands, such as Iraq? Even with homeland security working over time?
